selection process for Tensas river (NWR)’ annual youth Deer Hunt.

Celebration of President’ Theodore Roosevelt‘s historical hunting expedition
to Madison Parish in pursuit of the black bear. Festival showcases handmade arts
and crafts, food vendors, music, country & western, gospel, rhythm & blues,
rock, bluegrass. Live animals, kids’ games, prizes and more. Activities
are FREE.
2010 Festival is
dedicated to Jimmy Shivers, a local law enforcement officer for the Madison
Parish Detention Center whom we lost and all miss.
